I took a look around to see what review sites were out there for video games. Here is what I found were the highest-rated games in the past year or so.

At IGN.com, reviewers preferred the games in the list below. All ratings are on a 10 point scale. I was a little stingier on which titles I picked for this list. I’m not sure what their lowest rated video game is, but Knights Contract recently earned a 3.5 (Awful).

Gamespot.com says these are the cream of the crop for video games. Again a 10 point scale is used. They gave Fighters Uncaged a 2.0 on 11/12/10 which was not too much better than their lower ever score of 1.0.
