I took a look around to see what review sites were out there for video games. Here is what I found were the highest-rated games in the past year or so.
GameTrailers.com likes these video games in the list below. All ratings are on a 10 point scale. For perspective, they do rate recent games as low as 3.6 for The Fight: Lights Out and 3.8 for Iron Man 2.

Here’s a simple list of video game benefits. Obviously not all benefits apply to every video game, and most of them apply to other activities besides playing video games. You can flesh out the details for yourself.

Here’s a list of the top 10 video games that are on their way up in sales rankings at Amazon. While this list can change daily, I find it interesting to note which games are not in this list as well as those that are.
